Over two days, Leslie, John & I explored the far regions of Presidio County, from an epic sunrise stroll through the streets of Marfa, Texas, to the inside of Big Bend Ranch State Park along the US/Mexico border outside of Presidio, Texas. In Marfa, we hit all the hot stops on our walk, making a stop for coffee at Big Sandy, a visit to the colorful Cactus Liquors, and a swing by Marfa Public Radio. Leslie & John were married intimately and swiftly, standing in front of an old adobe ruin in the park with a backdrop of stunning rock formations and the open West Texas Sky. With me playing double duty as their officiant & photographer, I walked the couple through some brief vows with a joyous proclamation of their new titles as Husband & Wife. The newly married couple spent the remaining hours of daylight cheering each other with Coors Banquets & Topo Chicos, sharing a sweet miniature red velvet cake & dancing on top of the rocks until the full moon made its appearance.
