Welcome to Texture Presidio. This project is a living/breathing creature that will likely morph as it grows. My objective is to illustrate the textures & narratives that make Presidio County unmatched.

I aim to expand my seven-year-long (+)  photography exploration & education of the Chihuahuan Desert & share a variety of portraits of both ordinary & significant bits that help express my fondness for this unique region. 

An exploration of observation & study of place/space.

I’ll focus on experiences, moments, faces & places that examine & preserve the bones that compose the area’s vast richness. From north to south Presidio County and surrounding desert–most intentionally, the spaces that less often find the light. 

As I wander & engage, I welcome suggestions for folks, places & tales to photographically explore. I aspire to exclusively foster & contribute to the region’s existing rich roots, & stay continually open to feedback about the best way to achieve that goal, without causing harm. I vow to keep the secret/sacred places secret & speak/share with as much authenticity as I am able.
